Vision

As a fourth generation Williamson County resident, I am grateful to call Fairview my home. I was raised to understand and respect the importance of public service. My father served as a Commissioner for Williamson County for twenty years. My paternal Grandfather served as a Williamson County Deputy and my maternal Grandfather worked for the Tennessee Highway Patrol. I have dedicated my entire career to Public Service and I’m confident my education, training, and experience have prepared me to lead the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office into the coming years.

I have almost forty years of bona fide law enforcement experience and my accomplishments are well documented. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree from Middle Tennessee State University with a Major in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Psychology. I’m a graduate of the University of Tennessee’s Southeastern Command and Leadership Academy (SELA). Throughout my career, I have accumulated thousands of hours of training and certifications in every aspect of Law Enforcement. I continue to serve as an instructor for young Law Enforcement Executives across the state and beyond on Police Leadership and Administration.

Prior to retirement, I served ten years as the Chief of Police for the City of Brentwood. I was only the third Police Chief in Brentwood’s storied history. My service spanned 36 of the department’s 52-year legacy. The Brentwood Police Department was a pioneer in the development of policies, procedures and practices that meet internationally accepted standards for the profession set forth by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).

I am a fiscal minded conservative, that understands the importance of every Williamson County tax dollar. I believe in applying a “cost benefit analysis” to all budget requests with a focus on what’s best for the protection and service delivery to our citizens. I successfully worked within my budget each year as Police Chief, including the design and construction of Brentwood’s state of the art Police Headquarters completed in 2021.

I have a proven leadership strategy of building a strong organizational culture that recognizes the importance of service over self, improves morale, and fosters recruitment and retention of quality personnel. Through a fresh set of eyes, I believe a comprehensive assessment of the processes and procedures in place will reveal what practices can be improved upon and how we can serve the citizens in the most effective and efficient way.

As your Sheriff, my emphasis will be on you; protecting your rights and your quality of life as a Williamson County resident.

My Priorities as Sheriff:
